  • Karla Florez School of Dance

    Karla Florez School of Dance is a Queens based dance school that has been performing in diverse venues around NYC and beyond for more than 15 years. KFSD performs and teaches traditional Colombian dance and rhythms, as well as including other dance techniques from contemporary dance.

  • Madre Monte Music

    Madre Monte Music is a musical project that brings traditional music from the Caribbean Coast of Colombia, emphasizing female voices and musicians. They perform for diverse audiences and venues, focusing on family and community.

    It also co-hosts the podcast Días de Luna, a conversation with diverse artists from the Colombian territory.

  • ilbalbor Tailors

    Born from the heritage of seamstresses, ilbalbor Tailors work on handmade costumes and dresses for various acts and shows across all artistic mediums. They believe in the art of sewing and creating art through fabric.

    Florez Books

    Like flowers with their parts, this publishing house has different stages to produce a book. It was born from the need to share experiences about dance and related topics, aims to produce and publish books written or created in collaboration with invited artits artists.

  • Farolitos de Navidad

    Fomentar la participación de la comunidad colombiana en Nueva York en la celebración de la noche de velitas, mediante un taller creativo que promueve la tradición cultural de los faroles Quimbaya y fortalezca el sentido de pertenencia y unidad. Acompañada de la Danza de los Faroles.

  • Días de Luna - Days of the Moon

    This is a virtual space that offers conversations with Colombian artists living in Colombia or in the diasporas around the world. We invite Colombian artists to have an online conversion with the community of artists living in New York, specially in Queens. Conversations are recorded and available in Youtube platform as a sound recording archive. All the profit goes directly to the Colombian artist invited to this Dias de Luna.

  • Conversaciones Sonoras

    In person events with a space for conversations with artists visiting New York. In this way, we generate spaces for dialogue to continue promoting and raising awareness of some of Colombia's thousands of dances and rhythms. This in-person event is held to introduce Colombian artists visiting New York City. The goal is to foster communication and exchange ideas about the cultural processes taking place in both locations. We collaborated with the different institutions to offer their venues to have also performances by the visiting artists.
